Portfolio - Photoshop/Illustrator/Acrobat Pro Essential Standard - 201.01 & 201.02; 202.01 & 202.02 Essential Question: How do you create a professional portfolio? Objective: Create an electronic promotional portfolio consisting of the 5 areas of Digital Media projects you created throughout the year. Logo/Business Card/Resume Complete the following 4 items for your portfolio. 1-Create a Personal Logo. Use Photoshop or Illustrator to create a personal logo that defines who you are. Do not get images from the Internet to use, but rather create something on your own. Document size is 720 x 480, but it does not have to take up the entire screen and it can have transparency showing. Save as a PSD and a JPEG - last name+first initial+logo 2-Design a business card that includes your personal logo and your personal information. Size is in inches so make sure you change to inches. Size is 2 inches in height and 3.5 inches in width, with 300 resolution. Save as a PSD and a JPEG - last name+first initial+bcard 3-Create a resume. If you do not know how to make a resume, research examples on-line to get an idea of what should be included and how to lay it out. Make it a real resume with your personal job experiences from anywhere you have worked. The key emphasis here is your special skill sets from this class - include all computer experience and skills including all the software you have worked with in Digital Media (Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, etc.). Your personal logo should also appear on your resume. Save as a pages file and export the final version as a .pdf file - last name+first initial+resume. Grading Criteria Checklist 1 - Designed an original personal logo that represents who you are 2 - Created a business card in inches at 2 x 3.5 with 300 resolution 3 - Card designed in a manner that is visually pleasing, balanced, and creates an interest in the topic 4 - Card includes your REAL personal information - name, address, phone, email 5 - Card includes your personal logo 6 - Created a graphically designed resume with your REAL job experience and or skills learned in DM 7 - Resume layout is easy to read and there are no spelling/grammar errors 8 - Resume includes your personal logo 9 - Graphic files saved as a PSD/exported JPEG, Text file saved ODT/ exported PDF format as instructed 10 - Final files submitted as a JPEG/PDF format with the instructed name for the project This project is part of your final portfolio Begin working on the portfolio in Acrobat Pro once you have completed this section. Portfolio - Acrobat Pro E portfolio Essential Standard - 201.01 & 201.02; 202.01 & 202.02 4 -Create a Portfolio. Click on this folder to view the PDF that list all requirements of the portfolio and includes directions on how to create the portfolio using Adobe Acrobat Pro. -Save project as lastname+firstinitial+portfolio. Completion of the portfolio requires that a presentation of the portfolio to the class as well as submission of the final PDF file. You will be required to submit your completed checklist on exam day before your presentation. Presentation days are on exam day. No late portfolios will be excepted! NO PORTFOLIO = F IN CLASS! |

Web Design - Dreamweaver/Photoshop Essential Standard - 207.01 & 207.02 Essential Question: How do you create an interactive web page using CSS in a wysiwyg program? Objective: Create an interactive web site that will utilize all areas of digital media. Assignment: You have been hired as web designer by Entertainers Design Company. They want you to create a basic web site for a business You are to follow the directions given by the project manager for the target audience to complete the project. Once complete then you should review the checklist for grading criteria before turning in your work. Complete and submit the online rubric for this project once it has been completed. Using Dreamweaver, create a website for a business or company of your choice. You will download a CSS template from web. Create a CSS folder in your Web folder. Move the template folder from downloads into CSS folder you created. Save all files/images inside the downloaded template folder. Utilize the code to make changes and make the site your own Customize using pictures and logos from the business you choose. Remember you must save all files in your folder and do not move them from this folder. That way everything will appear in Dreamweaver for use. I will check this off at your desk, DO NOT SUBMIT IN DROP BOX. Use the keyboard shortcut of Shift+Command+4 to get a crosshair that you can use to drag a box around each page to capture a screen shot. You will need to get a screenshot of each page an put those final pages in your portfolio folder. If you can not capture the entire page in one shot, then you must take multiple shots and piece together in Photoshop. Grading Criteria Checklist 1 - CSS site created around theme of a business with original logo on each page 2 - Page layout designed professionally 3 - Navigation buttons created for navigation, and navigation easy to follow 4 - All links work correctly 5 - Balance of text and images on each page 6 - Links to video/audio files that open a page to play the video and/or audio 7 - Same size/type font used for information text on each page (body text) 8 - Same size/type font used for headline text on each page (these will be slightly larger than your body text) 9 - Web file is saved as a Dreamweaver file and each page JPEG is saved in portfolio 10 - Final web file is submitted with the instructed name for the project This project is due on Monday May 6 When you complete all work, work on the Xtra credit projects |
