SkillsUSA is an industry-based organization with the ultimate goal of helping students find what career paths interest them the most and providing them with opportunities to explore and expand their knowledge of their chosen fields. It also focuses on developing professionalism, practicing business procedures, and preparing students for life in the real world. 

As a student club, we hold monthly meetings with the purpose of keeping everyone updated on progress and practicing workplace techniques and procedures as a group. We also enjoy several social meetings throughout the year, decided upon by our social committee members. Towards the end of each school year, we compete at the local, state, and national level in competitions related to the Digital Media curriculum. It is a great way to reward our many student-members with recognition and pride for their hard work.

Our primary competition areas include the ones related to the content of the Digital Media curriculum but with the addition of new Engineering teachers we now include several engineering competitions as well. However, the industry areas represented by the organization of SkillsUSA are very diverse - ranging from construction and automotive to cosmetology and culinary arts.
